  • Can I commission an artwork?
Sierra has decided to keep her creativity a pure expression between herself, her muses and her materials. Thus, she doesn’t accept commissions but she DOES love to help customers review her available artworks to select the perfect piece(s). She also welcomes feedback on what sort of artworks her customers would like to see more of. Email hello@sierradawnart.com to submit your feedback to let her know what you’re dreaming of! • How will my artwork be shipped?
All artworks will receive one last loving lookover from the artist as she reminisces on the stories evoked by the artwork, the phase of life she was in when she made it, and the particular music or podcast she immersed herself in while creating it. She will pour maternal love into the piece as she carefully prepares it for its imminent journey to your wonderful home. Prints and original artworks on paper will be shipped flat in a protective plastic sleeve or with protective acid-free glassine and rigid protection on both sides of the artwork then bubble-wrapped and placed in a rigid envelope mailer. Artworks on stretched canvas or framed artwork will be wrapped in protective acid-free glassine, carefully bubble-wrapped with extra protection on the corners and packed into a sturdy cardboard box. Artwork will usually be shipped by USPS or UPS with tracking and insurance. Most domestic packages arrive within 3-5 business days. Prints may require additional prep time before shipping. International shipping charges may vary from what is stated at checkout as it requires a specific estimate. Border fees, duties, and handling fees may be charged by other countries and are outside or the control of Sierra Dawn Art Studio. Please email hello@sierradawnart.com for a shipping estimate.
  • How should I hang my artwork?
Artwork on canvas can be hung directly on the wall. Your artwork will arrive with a wire on the back so all you need to do is place a nail or hook in the wall. You may need to adjust the length of the wire to perfect the way it hangs on your wall. To do this, simply unwrap one end of the wire and pull it tighter or looser before rewrapping the wire end. If you prefer, you can purchase D-ring hooks like these which you’ll attach to the back of the artwork after measuring to find the center of your artwork. You can also frame canvases for a more refined and sharp look. See Sierra’s guide on framing (coming soon, subscribe to find out when it's released!) Prints and artwork on paper should be framed ideally. Check out Sierra’s framing guide for recommended online frame shops, pointers on choosing a frame, and best practices for protecting your art. In the description of each artwork in the shop, Sierra also shares her suggestions on the type of frame that would look best on that specific artwork (COMING SOON!).

  • Can I pick up my artwork from your studio?
Theoretically, yes. However, Sierra is currently a nomad and does not have a home base or set studio space. (This world is full of inspiration!) You can always email her to find out where the artwork currently is and if you could pick it up there. Many pieces are located in the home where she grew up in Cherry Log, GA.
  • Can I return my purchase if I’m not happy?
A great effort is made to be as clear as possible in the photos and descriptions, and we add as many details as we can to make sure you know exactly what you’re purchasing. Our aim is that there are no surprises or disappointments. Due to the delicate nature of shipping artwork back and forth, Sierra Dawn Art Studio does not accept returns. However, we are ALWAYS happy to send you extra photos and videos of the artwork to help you get the most accurate visualization of the artwork in your space (email hello@sierradawnart.com). Colors may vary on different screens, so it is also suggested to check the artwork images on multiple screens.
  • Who owns the rights to the artwork?
The artist retains all rights to all artwork she creates, including the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork she creates unless the collector has also purchased the full or partial rights to the artwork. To discuss purchasing the rights, contact Sierra at hello@sierradawnart.com. The artwork may not be reproduced by anyone in any way without written permission from Sierra.
