SHIPPING POLICY

All artworks will receive one last loving lookover from me as I reminisce on the stories evoked by the artwork, the phase of life I was in when I made it, and the particular music or podcast I immersed myself in while creating it. Your order is wrapped up with care and loving attention to make sure your artwork arrives safely to your home! How much does the shipping cost?

I do my best to estimate shipping costs, which you’ll pay at checkout. If the final shipping cost ends up being more than estimated, the additional amount due will be invoiced for immediate payment. The artwork will not be shipped until we’ve squared up on any amounts due.

 

How will my order be shipped?

Prints and original artworks on paper will be shipped flat in a protective plastic sleeve or with protective acid-free glassine and rigid protection then placed in a rigid envelope mailer.

 

Artworks on stretched canvas or framed artwork will be wrapped in protective acid-free glassine, carefully bubble-wrapped with extra protection on the corners and packed into a sturdy cardboard box.

 

All orders are shipped via USPS unless otherwise communicated to the buyer. You’ll receive tracking information as soon as I’ve sent out your order so that you can watch your package on its way to you!

 

Will the package be insured?

Orders for original artwork will be shipped with insurance for the full amount paid. Packages insured for more than $500 may require an ID at delivery. Sierra Dawn Art Studio is not responsible for any damages during transit. It’s unlikely, but if there is any damage upon delivery, you can file a claim with USPS or with the shipping company used.

 

International Shipments

If you’ve provided an international address for shipping, you’ll be responsible for any additional customs charges. This includes paying for shipping the package back to my studio if customs determines there are any issues, and the additional shipping charges to send it to your provided address again.

 

How long will it take to get my artwork?

I’m a one-woman show so sometimes things get busy– but wrapping up your original artwork or prints to send it your way is the highlight of my day! I will get it ready to go as soon as I can and send you the tracking number as soon as it’s on its way. I am typically able to ship your package within 3-7 days, but if it’s going to take any longer than that, I will update you. During the Christmas holiday season, things can get extra busy around here! Please be aware that during these times, it may take up to 21 days for delivery. Your patience is greatly appreciated! 

 

Keep in mind that you are responsible for receiving the package or collecting it from the pick-up point communicated by the delivery company. Your package may require a signature for delivery.

 

What if my package is lost or stolen?

If your package is missing, you should submit claims directly with the carrier service handling your shipment. While I take precautions by insuring all original artwork to the full amount paid, I can’t assume responsibility for packages lost or stolen during transit.

 

Delivery times may sometimes extend beyond what I’ve estimated due to high shipping volumes or system issues with the carrier. Packages occasionally travel without scanning updates – before reporting a loss, please allow 21 days for delivery. As I have access to the same tracking information as you, I’m unable to intervene with carriers once packages leave my studio.

It’s your responsibility to ensure you’ve provided the correct address. Deliveries to incorrectly provided addresses do not qualify as lost packages or warrant refunds. If a package is returned to my studio due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for covering any reshipment costs.

RETURN POLICY

A great effort is made to be as clear as possible in the photos and descriptions, and I add as many details as I can to make sure you know exactly what you’re purchasing. My aim is that there are no surprises or disappointments. I are always happy to send you extra photos and videos of the artwork to help you get the most accurate visualization of the piece in your space (email hello@sierradawnart.com). Colors may vary on different screens, so it is also suggested to check the artwork images on multiple screens.

Can I return my order?

All original artwork sales are final. Before you purchase, please review the artwork listing to ensure the painting will work in your space. As this is a small, one-woman business driven by passion and hard work, I unfortunately cannot offer refunds or exchanges on original artwork. 

 

I accept returns within 14 days of delivery for most items, with the exception of original artwork. For eligible items like prints, I'll provide a prepaid return shipping label if the original packaging is used. If alternative packaging is required, the return shipping cost will be your responsibility.

 

Items damaged during return transit due to inadequate packaging will not be eligible for refund. For packages that arrive damaged or fail to arrive, please initiate a claim with the carrier. 

 

To start a return, please contact me at hello@sierradawnart.com for instructions. Returns must be made in the original packaging and in the same condition in which they were received.

 

When your return package is received and inspected, I will process your refund to your same payment method used at the time of purchase. Please expect up to 14 days for your return to be processed. 

 

I have to ship an item for return. How do I package it?

Please send your item in its original packaging. All protective packaging must be included to protect the item during shipping. If your item was shipped in a tube, both end caps must be intact. If you don’t have the original packaging, please purchase a stiff mailer or a sturdy tube, as well as postage. If items are damaged during the transit of your return, I won’t be able to provide a refund.

 

What if there’s a defect in my artwork?

If your artwork has an imperfection, it will be described in the listing and in the images of the artwork. Anything not represented in the listing is likely damage that occurred during transit. In that case, you’ll need to file an insurance claim with the carrier. Please feel free to email me at hello@sierradawnart.com so I can confirm the defect is from shipping and help you find a solution.

 

I bought a print, but I’m not happy with the colors now that it’s in the room I’d planned to display it in. Can you help with that?

It’s important that you carefully read descriptions and view the artwork or print on multiple screens if you are concerned about color variations. I try my best to present the colors in each artwork clearly and accurately. I unfortunately, can’t offer exchanges but in an effort to provide reassurance about what you’re ordering, I will be happy to send additional photos and videos upon request.

 

I bought a print, but I just saw that it’s now on sale. Can I still get the discount?

Yup! If you made your purchase within a week of the first day of the sale, I can help you out by issuing a refund the amount you would have saved during the sale. If your purchase was made more than 7 days before the sale started, I unfortunately can’t extend the sale but greatly appreciate your support of my small creative business!
